My Memories of a Singing Country Legend' is a fast moving biography of Country Singer Lance James. It's up close and personal and is written by myself, Bill Jones the Jazz Drummer, international author and movie director. I originally met the singing country legend when we worked together fifty years ago, in the music department of the South African Broadcasting Corporation. I became a close friend and compadre of Lance James at the beginning of his famous international singing career. 'My Memories of a Singing Country Legend,' is an insight into the heart and soul of Lance James and addresses both our travels on life's freeway. Around 2014, I had the honor of being chosen to write Lance's best seller biography 'Keep It Country.' This current book is my personal take on the poignant, tragic, as well as the romantic and humorous life, of a beloved friend and powerful celebrated entertainer.
